Statistically 1 in 3 women suffer from vaginal dryness. Our medical team believes that this statistic is highly underrated given that women often do not like to disclose personal or intimacy issues. Realistically, most women will experience some type of intimacy issue caused by vaginal dryness in their lifetime. Vaginal dryness is often associated with the menopause, but women of any age can experience it. 

Menopause remains the most common cause of vaginal dryness, with reportedly half of post-menopausal women aged 51-60 suffering from vaginal dryness due to reduce estrogen production. During and after menopause, the body produces less estrogen, which leads to fewer moisturizing secretions and can make the vagina feel dry. As we age, the tissue of the vagina also thins. Our Formulation

Formulated by the experienced medical professionals at Kalaya, the Intimate Lubricant is made without silicone, parabens, fragrance, alcohol, colourants or propylene glycol. Other lubricating products that you may find over the counter include ingredients like glycerin, which can cause yeast infections in women, as well as parabens and propylene glycol, which are recommended for use on such a sensitive area.

Our formula uses Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring substance, to protect, provide moisture and help lubricate. As well as providing lubrication, this naturally occurring ingredient is extremely moisturizing. The Kalaya Intimate Lubricant is also a water-based gel, which means it rinses away easily with water and it is safe to use with condoms (oil lubricants may destroy latex condoms).
